| A true and impressive story on how a local company has been striving for more than 20 years from its traditional OEM/ODM manufacturing modes to today its own OBM innovative toys and products. To be the first inventor of a multifunctional robot "Robosapien", which was completely designed and manufactured by a local established company, WowWee incorporates ideas from the cutting edge fields of science, military, aerospace and extreme sport, as well as high-tech virtual computer game, to produce exceptional toys. This makes Robosapien won more than thirty local and international product design awards including 2004 Hong Kong Award for Industry: Consumer Product Design--Grand Prize. This special dinner session aims at providing a common platform for our students and alumni, and industrialists to share their fruitful experiences through a case study from WowWee, one of the successful local OBM product design companies. | |
